Manitoba RCMP explain timeline, connection between victims in triple murder

Manitoba RCMP have provided more details about their investigation into a harrowing series of events in the McCreary area, northwest of Winnipeg, which led to the deaths of four people in a murder-suicide.
The Aug. 16 events saw police discover the bodies of three victims, as well as a man who was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At the time, police confirmed that all four people knew each other, and no additional suspects were being sought — and that a fifth person they were looking for was found safe.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Richard Sherring said the incident began around 1:20 a.m., when Marlon Glover, 41, forced his way into the home of a 37-year-old woman he knew from a previous relationship.
The woman escaped and hid in a wooded area. Police said Glover then went to a nearby home and killed the woman’s parents and 35-year-old brother.
Police said he then drove off, stopped on the side of Road 84 West, and shot himself.
A protection order was issued against Glover last November, police said, and two guns were seized at that time. The origin of the gun used in the murders is still under investigation.
